From Our Classroom to the Community: Leaf Piles and thankful smiles

Novemeber 10th, 2025

Last week in our classroom: all things leaves

🍂 This Week at Playschool

Circle time this week was all about leaves — and practicing our special songs for Brookdale!

We sang songs about leaves blowing side to side and about those high-up leaves that fall down, down, down. The kiddos had a blast creating leaf handprints and painting trees using toilet paper rolls — such a fun and creative way to explore fall textures!

Of course, we couldn’t let the week go by without some good old-fashioned leaf jumping. There was laughter, squeals, and even one lost boot deep in the giant leaf pile — a sure sign of autumn fun! 🍁.

To this week from our partners: PElvic health with MINdset PT

November starts our partnership with Mindset Physical Therapy - all things Pelvic Health focused.

To this week from our community: Brookdale November

At the end of our November visit to Brookdale, one of the residents came up to me and said, “I am thankful for you.” ❤️

What a simple yet powerful reminder of why these visits mean so much. It’s such a blessing to share joy, songs, and laughter with the residents each month — and to watch the kiddos brighten someone’s day just by being themselves.
